Solsongju has carried on the traditional legacy as the home-brewed liquor of the Hadong clan of the Jeong family in Gaepyeong village in Hamyang, a noble family from the Joseon period, and won the grand prize for medicinal liquor at 2014 and 2015 Korea Wine & Spirits Award, and the grand prize for liqueur at 2015 Korean Sool Competition and 2016 Korea Wine & Spirits Award. It was chosen by the President of Korea as New Year’s Holiday gift. Likewise, it has earned recognition as an excellent artisanal liquor with its great flavor, quality, and tradition.
